This weekend I traveled down to Oregon. The whole purpose of this trip was for me to go to Junction City’s Scandinavian Festival. I had not been to the festival in three or four years. Therefore, I forced my parents to take me down there. I had planned to acquire many trinkets to decorate my room. My plans did not work out that well, but I did obtain five possessions. Each of these has their hands and feet tied to strings, for they are marionettes.
I had always been drawn to these dolls for some strange reason. This curiosity came even before I saw the movie Pinocchio. I am not very fond of this movie, but I did kinda like the version with Jonathan Taylor Thomas. He is still pretty hott. Anyways… I have always wanted a marionette and now I have some. First, I bought a lion, because I like lions. This particular lion resembled the one from The Wizard of Oz. Thus, I had to go back and get the other characters. I could not find one similar to the Tin Man, so I still have to find one of those. I did find a Dorothy and a Scarecrow. Because I had not found a Tin Man, we got a monkey that looked like the ones that flew. I also had to get a cow because it was really cute.
The only other thing I bought at the festival was food, lots of it. I am surprised I didn’t gain ten pounds when I was there. There is so much good food. I had to get Swedish Pancakes, a Meat Pie, Potato Pancakes… I also had to go to Abby’s Pizza while I was in Oregon. I don’t care for pizza very much, but Abby’s Pizza is an exception.
I babysat a lot while I was down there. Bob, my uncle, was having his 20 year high school reunion, so I was lucky enough to watch his children. It was just fine. I met a bunch of people. Overall, I had a pretty good time in Oregon.
I watch the Lizzy Maguire Movie. It was late at night and nothing else was on. I assumed that there might be some hott guys in it, but I was wrong. I spent about an hour and a half watching a stupid movie and there weren’t any hott guys in it. Now if it was a good movie with no hott guys, that’s fine. But a bad movie! That is just a waist of time. Too Bad, So Sad.
I have been reading the Bush Haters Handbook and it is absolutely wonderful. Certain parts are very boring, but it keeps giving me more reasons to hate him. I had put Me Talk Pretty One Day off to the side, but I am reading that again.
I am working at Cross Stream this week. Sarah has soccer camp, so she will be gone all day and there are some projects that need to be done. I get to do them, of course. I will have to get a slice of apple pie from the Wild Wheat because I have been craving apple pie. Other than that… I cannot think of anything to say at the moment.
Smile and Have a Happy Day!
